These days it is the season of clashes for films as several films are releasing on a designated day. The most recent clash that was reported was of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Stree and Rajma Chawal releasing on August 31, 2018. However, the main bone of contention was that two of these films starred actress Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha is the lead actress in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Stree. In the first film she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor and in the second she shares screen space with Rajkummar Rao.

The makers of these two films had the good sense of changing the release date as the film’s release date was clashing. The filmmakers felt that since both the films have Shraddha in the lead it will not be right for the films to release on the same date. Now, the makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu have decided to move the film’s release date by at least a couple of weeks. A source close to the film said, “It doesn’t make sense to have two films of the same actor releasing on the same day. So, while the horror-comedy Stree will release on August 31, 2018. Batti Gul Meter Chalu will release in September. The final date will be released by the producers in a few days.”

Stree is a horror-comedy which features Rajkummar in the lead with Shraddha. The teaser of the film was released a couple of weeks back. It will now clash with Rishi Kapoor starrer Rajma Chawal. On the other hand in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shraddha shares screen space with Shahid and Yami Gautam. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh the film underwent a lot of hiccups due to monetary issues and the film was stalled. However, after a change of hands at the production level the film is back on track and will be released soon.
