Barely does Alia Bhatt recover from her current set of injuries than she goes and gets into fresh trouble again! Just around three months ago she had suffered a fairly serious shoulder injury during an action sequence in Bulgaria filming Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Now she has injured herself again while shooting for Abhishek Varman’s period drama, Kalank.
Apparently, the accident occurred on the Andheri sets of the film, where she was shooting with Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha over the weekend. Alia happened to trip on the stairs and ended up injuring her foot. Her foot needed to be bandaged and she is reportedly in pain. However, the lass is back on set shooting as the team is on a tight filming schedule.

What’s more, she is also shooting Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in between, which means she cannot allow herself the luxury of a break. This is the reason why she has been spotted resting in between shots so as not to worsen the injury.
It may be recalled that Alia had had to return to India from the shoot of Brahmastra in March this year after meeting with an accident on set while shooting for an action sequence. She was out of action for a while, with her shoulder in a sling. She had been advised minimal movement of her arm, which meant she could not resume filming action sequences to prevent further trauma to her shoulder. Alia has also undergone physiotherapy to ensure a speedy recovery.
This also reminds us of the burn injuries she has suffered at an award function in 2015. Alia had reportedly suffered burn injuries on her left hand and face. She had later thanked her fans and well-wishers for their concern, tweeting, “Thank you guysss so much for all your concern, love and wishes!!! Things like this are a gentle reminder that we can’t overlook safety.”
She had also pointed out, “It isn’t possible to go through life accident-free. But, most accidents – like this one – are preventable…” Get well soon, girl.
