If you imagine Armaan Kohli is in the city trying to make amends for his abusive behaviour, well sorry but the controversial actor has escaped Mumbai for some rest and relaxation. Armaan, who was released from judicial custody on Friday, has taken time off to unwind by himself.

However, like a dutiful son, he ensured that the household staff was present to attend to his parents in his absence. He has been in regular touch with his parents and will return home in a couple of days.

Some serious introspection is definitely in order for Armaan, who has a history of violence and anger management issues. His assault on June 3 of his girlfriend Neeru Randhawa at his Juhu residence is the latest in a long line of abusive behaviour. While he had allegedly broken Neeru’s nose during a fight this February, he has been accused of physical assault too often in the past.

In 2013 he had allegedly assaulted ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actress Munmun Dutta (Babita) in Mauritius. The actress claimed that Armaan had turned physical with her and even hit her. Munmun and Armaan had started seeing each other in 2008 and had a very short-lived relationship. During his ‘Bigg Boss’ stint, Arman was arrested for physical abuse after fellow contestant and British singer-actress Sofia Hayat filed a complaint against him. However, he was later released on bail.

His relationship with Tanishaa Mukherjee, post his ‘Bigg Boss’ stint, was also hit by his alleged bad temperament. The couple parted ways not long after. Years ago, he was also in a serious relationship with actress Ayesha Julka. However, they had broken up because of his anger management issues. After Sofia Hayat had registered a complaint against Armaan, Ayesha had revealed, “I would never like to associate myself with a man like Armaan. He is history now and if a woman has filed a complaint against him for such behaviour, then I am sure it is true.”

Time to get help and turn a new leaf, difficult as it might be…
