Matching dates are no easy task especially when the stars in question are Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn! The two actors come together in Luv Ranjan’s forthcoming film, which was touted to roll this December. However, given the bursting date diaries of both the leading men, the film will now only roll in April 2019.

Let’s take Ranbir first. He is shooting now for Brahmastra, his supernatural film with Ayan Mukerji. This will be followed by his dacoit biopic Shamshera. He will complete shooting for both these films early next year. Ajay has his plate full as well. He has Total Dhamaal and Akiv Ali's film, followed by the biopic Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior. Once they are done with their individual film commitments, will they collaborate on Luv's film.

Post the success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luv Ranjan has become a desirable name in the directors’ circuit. Ranbir himself had shared that he is really fond of Luv’s work and is very excited to collaborate with him. He had revealed that after watching Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), he had approached Ranjan to collaborate on a film. “I saw it on a flight to London and messaged him that I would love to work with him. Over the years, we spoke about various subjects, including Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. But I am happy we're coming together for this film.”

Ranbir has also shared that the film will be a “badass entertainer”. He added, “It has Ajay and myself and the rest of the cast will be announced soon. I have Samshera before that so Luv’s film will go on floors post that.”

While the leading lady in this film is yet to be finalised, Ajay is reported to play Ranbir’s father in the film. Speaking about the casting coup he had pulled off, Ranjan had raved, “Ajay and Ranbir’s spontaneity and versatility is electrifying and I am elated to be working with not one, but two powerhouse performers in my next film.”

Now he will have to put that enthusiasm on hold for a while…
