Irrfan Khan has been undergoing treatment for his neuroendocrine tumour in London since he announced his ‘rare illness’ to the world in March 2018. His fans and well-wishers have left no stone unturned to pray for his speedy recovery. After being spotted at a cricket match at Lord’s stadium in London the actor wrote a heartfelt letter regarding his illness to his fans. A few days ago a leading daily had reported that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had lent his London residence to Irrfan and his family.

The daily reported that SRK had dropped by at Irrfan's residence after he expressed a wish to meet his Billu co-actor, and generously handed over the keys to his property for his and his family’s use. The story reported that Irrfan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar had called up SRK a day prior to flying to London and in return King Khan had generously offered his residene. However, it turns out that the story of SRK meeting Irrfan and offering keys to his London residence is not true at all. Irrfan’s spokesperson released an official statement refuting all such claims and any occurrence of such an incident.

The statement reads, “The story floating around of Shahrukh and Irrfan is a fragment of imagination of some individual who has whipped out the story through their unreliable sources. It has no truth to it. While the duo are friends, the story of their meeting and the subsequent incidents has no truth.”

Well, it seems someone does have an over-active imagination and it is another piece of fake news. Meanwhile, Irrfan was recently awarded the Best Actor Award at IIFA for his performance in the film Hindi Medium. The actor took to Twitter on Tuesday to thank his fans and IIFA for the well-deserved award. The actor’s forthcoming release is Karwaan that also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar. The trailer of the film was released today and has been well received. Irrfan is the star of the film and with his impeccable comic timing is the heart and soul of the trailer.
