After the culmination of her American series Quantico, Priyanka Chopra signed up Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat opposite Salman Khan. Priyanka who arrived in India with rumoured beau Nick Jonas a few day ago, was reported to have been paid a hefty sum for the film. However, now an entertainment portal has reported that in reality Priyanka has charged nothing for the film. It was reported that she was paid a whopping sum of money for her Bollywood comeback in Bharat which is a period drama film.
There were reports that the Quantico actress was paid a whopping sum of Rs 12 crores. However, informed sources have dismissed the news as ‘mere conjecture’. According to the entertainment portal, sources close to the actress said, “She has in fact generously offered to do the film for free as it is being directed by her friend Ali Abbas Zafar. As far as reports of her getting Rs 12 crores are concerned, these are attempts at being one up on Deepika Padukone who was claimed as the highest paid actress in Bollywood. The truth is, even Deepika isn’t getting that kind of remuneration after Padmaavat.
