The biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar, Super 30 that stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role will feature TV actress Mrunal Thakur in the lead role opposite the superstar. The Kumkum Bhagya actress will be making her Bollywood debut with the film and she will be playing the role of a classical dancer.
Mrunal, who plays Hrithik’s love interest in the film, spoke about her role in an interaction with a leading daily. “I play a classical dancer. I’ve been learning Kathak from Birju Maharaj’s disciple, Renu Sharma, and have been practicing it for the last couple of months," shared the actress.
“The movie is around 70 percent complete. I have a few more days of shoot left. A song and some scenes are left to be shot. We are filming the track around July-end or early August. I have a portion in it where I will be doing Kathak," added Mrunal.

The film is based on the life of Anand Kumar who gained fame and recognition for tutoring aspiring students for IIT –JEEs from poor families to realize their dreams of studying in Indian Institute of Technology.
Besides, Hrithik and Mrunal actor Pankaj Tripathi also stars in the film in which he plays the main antagonist. Amit Sadh plays the pivotal role of narrator of the biopic and has most of his scenes with Hrithik. Apart from Mrunal, TV actor Nandish Sandhu also marks his Bollywood debut with the film. He plays the role of Anand’s younger brother in the film.
Recently, Roshan was spotted shooting for the first schedule in Varanasi and later around Rajasthan's Sambhar Lake. Produced by Phantom Films, Super 30 is scheduled to release this Republic Day on 26 January 2019, along with Soumik Sen's Cheat India starring Emraan Hashmi.
