Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu fame singer Ankit Tiwari found himself in the eye of another controversy recently when his father was hit by a woman at a Mumbai mall after he allegedly touched her 'inappropriately.' The woman was later identified as former cricketer Vinod Kambli's wife Andrea. Andrea alleged that Tiwari's father deliberately brushed his hand against her and after "she caught him in the act, he pushed her away," Kambli told a leading tabloid.
In a fresh development, Tiwari's father told a news agency that Andrea and Kambli should apologise to them publicly. "Yesterday, a woman accused me of touching her and she hit me. I told me sons about the incident. The woman and her husband Vinod Kambli started to fight with us. They should apologise to us publicly, we will pursue the case further," he told the news agency.
On the other hand, Andrea is stands by her stance. "Yesterday, a man brushed himself against me & passed an inappropriate comment at me. What I did afterwards was right. Soon after his sons came and started arguing with me, later we filed an FIR," she told the same news agency.

Following the incident, the Tiwaris filed a police complaint against the cricketer’s wife at the Bangur Nagar Police Station. While Kambli told the daily that Ankit and his brother Ankur tried to attack his wife after the entire episode, Ankur alleged that they were hurled abuses at by the couple and Andrea even threatened to hit him with her sandal. In a fresh statement released by Ankur, he has expressed his disappointment over Kambli's behaviour and asserted that the matter won't be taken lightly. The statement reads as follows:
"It's quite shocking to see this kind of behaviour from a cricketer whose represented our nation , my father being aged has been assaulted by Vinod Kambli's wife and when we went to intervene Kambli pushed us around . Not on any cost are we going to sit tight or take this lightly , this behaviour can not be tolerate, it's happen to us and we hope doesn't happen to anyone else. We have filed a complaint and we have full faith in the judiciary to take action against this."

On the other hand, Kambli's quote to the leading daily read as:
“We were at the Game Zone in the mall around 3 pm when my wife caught hold of an old man’s hand. He had deliberately brushed his hand against her and when she caught him in the act, he pushed her away. Minutes later when we were at the food court, two men, who we assume were the man’s sons, tried to attack my wife. When I told them to back off, they told me, ‘You don’t know who we are’.”
The CCTV footage that has come up shows Andrea hitting a man who clearly walks past her without touching her in any way. He seems befuddled and surprised at the onslaught from the woman. Is Andrea fabricating the story?
