Sanju is creating ripples at the box office. The Sanjay Dutt biopic has set ticket counters on fire and amassed a remarkable collection of Rs 120 crore in its opening weekend. With great moolah pouring in every day, it is indeed a lottery for director Rajkumar Hirani as the film is now his highest weekend opener, beating PK to the spot. Sanju is also the biggest opener of Ranbir Kapoor's career who plays the titular role in the movie. His 2013 release Besharam made an opening collection of Rs 21.56 crore and was his best number-spinner till date.
All in all, the terrifyingly triumphant run of the biopic called for a night of celebration! And thus, the entire team of Sanju got together under one roof to rejoice over the stupendous performance of their labour of love.
But missing in action was Vicky Kaushal who played Dutt's endearing and loyal best friend Kamli in the movie. However, RK made sure his reel best friend does not miss out on the occasion, and thus video called him to assure his virtual presence at the bash! Check out the video here:

New friendship in B-town is on the way it seems!
Ranbir kept it casual as he opted for a black tee and ripped denim in the party on a rainy Monday night.
Manisha Koirala, who plays Sanjay Dutt's mother Nargis Dutt in the film, opted for a classic white and blue combination for her presence at the party. Dia Mirza, who stepped into the shoes of Dutt's wife Maanayata arrived in a glittering gold dress with husband Sahil Sangha. While Karishma Tanna attended the bash in a stylish pink-nude coloured dress. Arshad Warsi, who had earlier grabbed attention for his remarks on Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanjay Dutt, was present too.

Sanju brings to fore the life and times of Bollywood's controversial actor Sanjay Dutt. His bond with his father Sunil Dutt, his many romantic affairs, brushes with the underworld, addictions and his prison time among other things have all found their way in the film.
