Did Janhvi Kapoor delete pictures from Instagram before making her account public?

Talk about the perils of becoming famous. Late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor is making her Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. She has been the talk-of-the-town ever since news of her entering Bollywood came out. However, the debutante had earned quite a lot of attention on social media especially since her glamorous pictures were shared by Sridevi.

Many fan pages and fan clubs have cropped up on social media in the name of Janhvi, thanks to her stunning looks and glamorous appearances. However, there are costs to the newfound stardom as well especially when your private life becomes public.

Janhvi had kept her personal Instagram account private until a few months ago but made it public as soon the announcement of Dhadak was made last year. In an interview to a magazine, Janhvi disclosed that she had deleted all her personal pictures before making her account ‘public’. She said that she was told to open up her Instagram profile as she is about to make her Bollywood debut; so she deleted everything to start afresh.

With 1.9 million followers on her verified Instagram handle @janhvikapoor, the actress has already got quite a head start in comparison to other beginners. The account has both promotional and personal pictures. Janhvi’s profile has only 89 posts as of now and showcases her Dhadak film stills, posters and videos as well as some childhood pictures of the actress with her mother Sridevi, father Boney and sister Khushi.

Half-sibling Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor also make an appearance in her posts. Cousin Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding ceremony picture also finds its place in Janhvi’s Instagram.

The actress is busy promoting her debut film with co-star Ishaan and is busy travelling from one city to another for the same. Dhadak is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and is directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film is slated for a July 20 release and is one of the anticipated films of the year.
