John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate is the tale of a vigilante out on a mission against the system. His journey begins after the death of his loyal and honest father, a police officer, who was wronged by the system. With dialogues like "tu iss janam me marega lekin dard agle janam tak chalega", the film deals with the issue of corruption including power-packed dialogues and high octane action sequences. The first song from the film was digitally launched on July 4.

It is the recreation of the 1999's hit song Dilbar featuring Sushmita Sen and Sanjay Kapoor. The song was an instant hit and remains a classic favourite even today. In the revamped version of the song, Moroccan-Canadian actress-dancer Nora Fatehi takes the center stage, impressing us with her belly dancing skills. As reported earlier Nora has choreographed major chunks of the song herself under the supervision of choreographer Adil Shaikh. John, too, features in the song with a grim look throughout.

The song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and is written by Shabbir Ahmed. It is sung by Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali however, Alka Yagnik who sung the original one has been retained. Talking about the song Dhvani said, "I really hope people like Dilbar and shower their love as they did for the original composition. Nora Fatehi is stunning in the video and the video is looking incredible. After Ishtehaar, which was a sad song, I am glad I got a chance to sing a completely different tune."

Sushmita had made the already catchy song better and interesting with her amazing quirks and moves. The new version has been dramatized with Nora's sensuous moves, an Arabic touch and a grand setting. Even though the redux has managed to garner over twelve lakh views on YouTube in just a few hours, Sushmita still rules the charts with thirteen million hits on her song.
