Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera, which is going to be a big YRF action entertainer has got a release date. The movie, directed by Karan Malhotra, will be hitting the screens on July 31, 2020. This also means that Ranbir's hands are full till 2020 for he has got a big release every year till then. His Sanju took over the big screens this year and Brahmastra is going to be released on August 15 next year.

Announcing the release date on their official Twitter handle, YRF posted:

The team has also revealed that Ranbir has a never-seen-before role in the film, while Sanjay Dutt plays a ruthless villain, much like how he was characterised in Malhotra's Agneepath, which also featured Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

Shamshera also stars Vaani Kapoor, who will be seen playing Ranbir's love interest and as revealed by YRF, the life story of her character pushes Shamshera to achieve his goal in the film. This is for the first time Ranbir has been roped-in to do hardcore action sequences in a film.

Other details about the film have been kept under the wraps. However, it's going on floors later this year.

Now with Sanju setting new records at the Box Office, Ranbir Kapoor seems to have got an impressive line-up of films in his kitty... all big commercial projects.
