Ishaan Khatter wants to pen his own film while writing poems is therapy for Janhvi Kapoor

There is something about Janhvi Kapoor that hypnotizes you into taking to an instant likeness for the newbie. She may be 21 but her maturity is second to none in the age group, especially those in the industry. Late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's firstborn is not your regular star-kid. She is unapologetically naive and carries a childlike innocence in her eyes with much allure.

Janhvi, who is gearing up for her flashy Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's Dhadak, is already a star in her own right. Her sartorial choices have become the talking point for years now, and her acting chops are a passing glimpse of her legendary mother. But there is more to her than what meets the eyes. Behind all that glamour and giggles, Janhvi hides a poetess. Yes! She loves to write poetry, as reveals her first co-star Ishaan Khatter.

Janhvi and Ishaan - the millennial kids - graced the cover of a leading magazine and in an interview, also spilled the beans on each other's secrets. "It's very therapeutic. You saw my copy of the Dhadak script - it was covered in notes," Janhvi asserts, while talking to the magazine.

Ishaan, on the other hand, is interested in lengthier forms of writing and even wishes pen a script for a film he would also act in. "Eventually I would like to write my own film. Right now, I only write - mostly short stories or essays - when I feel like I have to get something out of my system," he informs the magazine.

That's the thing about millennials - mastering many trades comes naturally to them! These blue-eyed debutants have directed by Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame Shashank Khaitan. Dhadak is the official Hindi remake of Marathi superhit film Sairat. The film releases on July 20.
