Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her debut Bollywood film, Dhadak, with Ishaan Khatter. The actress never thought she would have to witness this big day of her life without having the support of her mother by her side. But, she is adamant to make her parents feel proud with her hardwork.
In a recent interview with a leading daily, Janhvi opened up on how her work is the only thing which doesn't appear like a struggle to her. She also talked about late mother, Sridevi and how her father and brother are constantly helping her to grow better.
She said, "Surprisingly, the only thing I don’t associate with work is mom. Both of us had consciously decided that this would be my own journey. Acting is the only thing I knew to do without her. Working was the easy part, everything else was a struggle".
When asked whether she would like to work in a film produced by her dad, Boney Kapoor, Janhvi said, "I’d like to be worthy to get an opportunity from anyone. I hope people like my work and want to see me again. I hope papa likes me enough in my first film to want to cast me".
Janhvi also mentioned what her brother, Arjun Kapoor has taught her. She said, "I’ve realised Arjun is very wise, just like dad. They can comfort and guide you in a way that many people can’t. It comes from experience and having made successful films. Everyone has always said such nice things about him and the way he’s been brought up. He values honesty and tells me to be respectful towards people".
We wish Janhvi the best!
