It's not and Valentine's Day or February yet, but love demands no season. You might want to hold your heart because what comes next will have you reminiscing over your first innocent love... A new track from Dhadak, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, titled Pehli Baar has released today and it is as sweet as your memories. The song captures the very first instance when Ishaan sees Janhvi and loses his heart to her. As they say, Ishaan truly lives his 'love at first sight'.

The film which is an adaption of Marathi cult film Sairat takes its inspiration from the original score Yad Lagla for Pehli Baar. This song, too, brings the Zingaat trio together. Ajay-Atul, who composed music for Yad Lagla, have lent the melody for Pehli Baar and Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics of this song. Atul Gogavale, who sang the original has sung the song, has recreated the same magic once again.

Talking about the song, director Shashank Khaitan told a leading daily, "We have retained two songs from Sairat because they lent themselves beautifully to Dhadak. Pehli Baar is about that innocent first love and a young boy’s desire for a girl he can never have. Without any set choreography, it captures the moment when Ishaan meets Janhvi and gets attracted to her."

He further added, "Dhadak is melodious but intense because it speaks of eternal romance, whereas Pehli Baar is like that moment of sunshine you experience when you fall in love. As Ajay-Atul had created the Sairat album, too, you can notice the synergy. All the songs are distinct but belong to the same musical family. They have a great sense of orchestra and yet, there’s a strong underlying melody."

Produced by Karan Johar's home banner Dharma and Zee Studios the film is slated to release on July 13, 2018.
