Today, Ajay Devgn launched the teaser poster and announced the title of Kajol’s upcoming film – Helicopter Eela on his social media handles. The film, which was tentatively named Eela, is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and stars Kajol and National award winner Riddhi Sen in lead roles. One of the most talented actresses of Bollywood, Kajol will be seen playing a single mother and an aspiring singer.
The first poster of the film features Riddhi, hanging from a marionette while he attempts to run away and although Kajol doesn't feature in the poster herself, her hand does. She took to Twitter to share the poster and wrote: "Yahaan, wahaan, sab jagah...aa rahi hai Helicopter Eela."
Written by Mitesh Shah, the film has been produced by Kajol's husband, actor Ajay Devgn. Neha Dhupia also co-stars in the film. Eela has reportedly been adapted from Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play Beta Kaagdo.
Swanand Kirkire will be penning the lyrics and Amit Trivedi will compose the music. Co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Reshmaa Kadakia, Kushal Kantilal Gada, Neeraj Gala, Ajay Devgn, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Aksshay Jayantilal Gada; the film is all set to release on 14th September 2018. Ironically, her son Yug will turn 8-years-old on September 13, and the following day will see her mother’s film on the big screen. Definitely a moment of double dhamaal for the actress.
Kajol was last seen in the 2017 Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. Helicopter Eela will mark her comeback to Bollywood after Rohit Shetty's Dilwale.
