Alia Bhatt's growing romance with Ranbir Kapoor is enough fodder for gossip these days! Albeit they were linked only after Karan Johar announced them being cast along with Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming magnum opus, Brahmastra, but if you believe Alia, she has been reading about it since Ranbir was dating Katrina Kaif. In fact, she was even talked about being the cause of their breakup. And before you jump the gun, no, she did not play any role in Ranbir and Katrina's split anyway, but she did read about being blamed for it is a different story altogether.

During a photoshoot she did in 2016 with Sidharth Malhotra, who she was allegedly dating then, a boiling Bhatt had revealed that she "read that she was the cause of the Ranbir-Katrina breakup." Alia and Sidharth graced the cover in March 2016 while Katrina and Ranbir were reported to have ended their six-year-long relationship in January that very year.

Well, if Alia did not have anything to do with the separation, why didn't she go public with her stance? "It was so ridiculous that I didn’t think it needed clarification," she had then asserted.

But who would have imagined that Alia would be the one Ranbir would date after Katrina? At least in the public know. Interestingly, the Bhatt Jr. had always had hots for the Kapoor scion. During her appearance on Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan, she had candidly expressed of having a crush on RK! Look where she is at today, having the envy of all those millions of fangirls out there! Lady luck surely sided Alia, didn't she?

Ranbir, usually known to be shy and reserved, chose to come out in the open with his courtship with Alia, through a recent magazine interview. Not only did he confirm the status, but in another one, he subtly hinted at his mind frame when in love, 'water tastes like sherbet' he said. Smitten and how!

All said and done, Ranbir and Katrina's love story is a thing of the past. Water over the duck's back. Kat has moved on, and despite the fact that she is good friends with Alia even with her (probably) being involved romantically with her ex-boyfriend, it's all cool between the three. No 'X' factor found. Here's hoping they all find what they are seeking!
