Ranveer Singh celebrated his 33rd birthday on July 6, amidst the shooting schedule of Simmba in Hyderabad. When the actor walked on the sets for the midnight shift, little did he know that he’d walk into a surprise birthday party thrown by the director Rohit Shetty! The actor was pleasantly surprised to see five hundred crew members of the unit break into a birthday song for the actor. The do was celebrated with a custom-made Nutella cake- Ranveer’s favourite - accompanied by fireworks.

A leading daily reported that Rohit went the extra mile for his prized actor and asked Ranveer’s personal chef to make his favourite Nutella cake. Rohit had also gifted a watch to Ranveer a few days back as an advance birthday present. Ranveer took to his social media to show his appreciation for the gift and wrote, “Ecstatic! An early birthday present from the boss! Quite easily the sexiest watch I’ve ever had! Thank you, sir."
