Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh overcame his horrific experience and traveled in a train after 12 years. He did so with Diljit Dosanjh who plays his character in his upcoming biopic, Soorma that releases this Friday.
The hockey player has definitely won the medical battle and emerged victoriously, but the incident is still fresh in Sandeep's mind so he never sat in the locomotive since then. However, ahead of his biopic Soorma's release, Sandeep Singh traveled in a train for the film's promotions today. This small journey with his brother Bikramjeetmight and actor, Diljit might help in making him overcome his biggest phobia ever since the tragic incident.
Ace hockey player Sandeep was paralyzed for 2 years and had almost finished his Hockey career after the dreadful experience, but it was his determination and love for the game brought him back and he won several medals for our country.
Sandeep took to his twitter and posted a picture from the train ride.
Soorma was deliberately shot in Sandeep's hometown Shahabad as the director was keen on capturing the real essence of his journey. The drag-flickers journey – of wins, losses, life, and death – will soon be seen on-screen in Soorma, a Shaad Ali directorial, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu.
