Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are all set to welcome a new member to their plush residence in Mumbai. Flaunting their pregnancy with style, the second-time mom and dad-to-be are over the moon with the arrival of their tiny tot! While the couple's firstborn Misha, is the apple of her parents' eyes, we can't help but wonder if she will have a little brother or a baby sister?
Shahid's half-brother Ishaan Khatter, who is busy with the promotions of his debut film Dhadak, was asked if would want a nephew or a niece this time too? While the young Chachu is overwhelmed with the addition, he, however, points out that it is Shahid and Mira's happiness that matters, in this case, the most.
"It's more important to know what the parents feel and if I speak on their behalf they’d be equally happy with a boy or a girl."
A nephew or a niece, Ishaan is ready to do whatever is takes to be Chacha no. 1! Talking about the preparations for the second baby and Misha's birthday, he replies
"None, she is prepared and she has prepared me Chachu like. Just excited and ready to do whatever it takes to be Chacha number 1."
Shahid and Mira found love the arranged way, and tied the knot in a private ceremony in July 2015. The following year, in August 2016, they welcomed their first born Misha. Recently, ShahMira, as the couple is fondly referred to as by their fans, announced their second pregnancy with a cute post featuring Misha. Smiling, laying on a ground against a drawing of balloons, a text over her head read ‘Big Sister.’ Cutest announcement ever, we say!
Talking about the good news, Shahid had shared, “I am very happy. We just felt like sharing it with everybody. Mira said she wanted to put it on Instagram, and I felt the photograph was really cute. So, it was a spontaneous decision and it just happened,” he had said at the recent Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation Awards.
Last seen in Padmaavat, Shahid is currently shooting for Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. He will thereafter kickstart the Hindi remake of South superhit film Arjun Reddy alongside Student Of The Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria soon.
Meanwhile, Ishaan made his silver screen debut with award-winning Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds. However, Dhadak will marks his official Bollywood debut opposite Janhvi Kapoor, the elder daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is the remake of Marathi superhit Sairat and will release on July 20.
