A remake of a movie is a very common phenomenon these days. Be it Bollywood, industry down South India or in other regional states, of even Hollywood, filmmakers have often 'drawn inspiration' from other flicks, and sometimes have made a scene by scene adaption of a past release. And now, the Indian television industry seems to have entered this 'creative space' of revisiting the old gold.
Cut to an upcoming show Papa By Chance. The makers of this forthcoming daily have sought inspiration from Saif Ali Khan's film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, sources suggest PeepingMoon.com. The plot of the 2008 film, which also stars Rani Mukerji and Ameesha Patel, revolves around four kids whose parents are killed in an accident caused by an industrialist (Saif). The dejected children plan to avenge their parents' death and reluctantly put up with the industrialist on the court's directions. Enter an Angel (Rani), who is sent upon Earth to make amends. How the kids create havoc in the businessman's life, and how he makes up for his mistake follows the rest of the narrative.
Similarly, as per PeepingMoon.com sources, Papa By Chance follows a similar plot when a young man finds himself fathering three kids, in an unforeseen turn of events. Reportedly, Zebby Singh has been roped in to play the male lead in the show and the three kids will be played by Ishant Bhanushali, Arshifa Gunjan and Sidhartha Dubey. The female lead is yet to be zeroed in.
Albeit there has been no official confirmation of the development yet, we look forward to catching up the story on the small screen soon!
