When Salman Khan made Janhvi Kapoor dance on the sets of Wanted

Janhvi Kapoor is all over the headlines these days. Why not? The second generation of a glorious legacy left behind the legendary actress Sridevi is all set to reign. Janhvi, who was born and raised in the lap of Bollywood, has always had a penchant for acting and dance. So much so that she broke into a dance while on the sets of Wanted, which was produced by her father Boney Kapoor.

Janhvi told a leading daily:

“Once when I visited the sets of Wanted, Prabhudeva was rehearsing a dance sequence with Salman Khan and Katrina. I was around 10 or 12 then. I crept into the room where the dancing was taking place. I was so fond of dancing that I couldn’t resist myself. I stood in the corner, swaying to the beats of the song.”

The report further quotes her as saying, “I was busy enjoying dancing and didn’t realise Salman had spotted me. He called me and asked me to dance in the middle of the room. I went ahead and danced happily, while the others stood around me. Back then I thought they were all appreciating my moves but when I think about it today, I’m so embarrassed!” She added, “God knows what they would have been thinking!”

Given the large-hearted and an encouraging man he is, we are sure Salman is taking the utmost pride in your journey, Janhvi! In fact, if the 21-year-old manages to impress Khan, she might land a role in his next acting or production venture. Don't we wish to see this little girl pass the test with flying colours?

Janhvi makes her debut with Dhadak on July 20, 2018. In the remake of Marathi superhit Sairat, Janhvi plays Parthavi, who falls in love with Madhukar, played by Ishaan Khatter. The narrative follows their love story which is surrounded by a discrimination of class and caste. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film has been bankrolled by Karan Johar-owned Dharma Productions.
