Mirzapur First Look: Farhan's-Ritesh's gangster web series for Amazon looks gripping

After Netflix, now Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first look of its upcoming original series titled Mirzapur. There are hardly any deets about the plot but looking at the first look we get the idea that it is going to be a gritty gangster or a mafia drama with an adequate amount of violence and sex. According to reports, Mirzapur stars Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi and Shweta Tripathi. The web series is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and is created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, and directed by Gurmeet Singh.

The 46-second video starts with the camera zoomed in on an antique firearm that has a scorpion carved on its hilt. It fires and the solitary gun gets replicated into four more. The bullets glide across the surface which later on can be seen as a carpet. The bullets create images on the surface that include more antique guns, hand grenades, noose, a man’s face, nooses, sharp-edged knives, skeletons and two scantily clad women who are lying across each other. The whole thing turns out to be a part of a tapestry and gives the indication of the web series poster. The entire treatment of the teaser is extremely novel and will definitely interest the audience.
