Janhvi Kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with her film Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter. Daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi boasts a considerable fan following even before her film is out in theatres. But apart from her, there's another star kid who is making her foray into Hindi cinemas and has become a favourite amongst the Bollywood enthusiasts. Well, we are talking about Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter, Sara Ali Khan.
With both the young ladies coming from filmy backgrounds and the rising competition in Bollywood, there are bound to be constant comparisons drawn between them. When Janhvi was asked if there is any rivalry between them due to their debut films releasing in the same year, she quipped, "There is no competition."
In fact, the 21-year-old actress added that she is waiting to watch Sara's first film. "I am looking forward to watching her films as an audience member. She holds great promise and I think women should support each other," said Janhvi.
Well, that's impressive.
While Janhvi's debut film is slated to release this week, Sara's first film Kedarnath has gone through a rough patch ever since the film's shoot began. On the other hand, Sara already has been roped by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty for Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba but Janhvi is taking it slow and focusing on just Dhadak.
Meanwhile, there was a buzz that Janhvi might be seen in a South film. Clarifying the rumours, Jahnvi added that she is not doing any South film for now and her concentration is solely on promoting her first film before moving ahead with any other film.
Dhadak, which is an adaptation of 2016 Marathi film Sairat, is directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film is set to hit the screens on July 20.
