One is the undisputable king of cinema, another is a superstar in the queue. If you haven't guessed it yet, megastar Rajinikanth and Bollywood powerhouse Nawazuddin Siddiqui are all set to combine their forces. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, on Wednesday, tweeted that Nawazuddin has joined the cast of a film starring Rajinikanth. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the movie will also feature actress Simran Bagga.
Not much is known about the project yet, but the fact that two of the riveting performers of the country will be sharing screen space is reason enough to pique our interest!

Rajinikanth, last seen in Kaala Karikaalan, is awaiting the release of 2.0. After a lot of brouhaha surrounding its release, the makers announced that the film will hit the screens on November 29 this year. Featuring Akshay Kumar in a negative role and Amy Jackson as the leading lady, the film marks Akshay's Tamil debut and his first film with Rajinikanth. It is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Nawazuddin, meanwhile, is reveling in a heap full of praises for his portrayal of Ganesh Gaitonde in Anurag Kashyap's and Vikramaditya Motwane's web series, Sacred Games. The venture also marks India's foray into the world of Netflix (an OTT platform), in the originals category. The star performer also has late Bal Thackeray's biopic in his kitty besides Manto.
Well, well...looks like fans are in for a treat! Expectations are riding high and we only expect brilliance from Rajinikanth and Nawazuddin. But the question remains, who will outshine the other? Guess we can only wait and watch!
