Ali Abbas Zafar’s period drama Bharat that features Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover is all set to begin its shoot from Sunday. As per reports the team will begin shooting in Mumbai’s Filmistan Studio till August after which they will move to Malta and then Dubai. The shoot will start with an elaborate circus sequence set in the late ‘60s. As Disha plays a trapeze artist and has been preparing for the role doing somersaults and backflips which were captured in video and became viral on social media, we’re sure the director must have been planning for the shoot for months. Apparently, Salman plays a daredevil stunt motorcyclist in the film.
Talking about the film’s first shooting schedule Ali told a leading daily, “The idea is to create an Indian-Russian circus-like Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker. Performers from all over the world are flying down for the circus tricks which will be a mix of trapeze hoops and rope stunts.” This circus sequence will be the introductory scene of Salman and Disha. Salman, who returned from his Da-bangg concert tour, began training for the role from Tuesday.
