Imran Khan back in action; this time as an Ad director for Dharma 2.0

Imran Khan is establishing his feet back in the show business. The actor debuted in Bollywood with Abbas Tyrewala’s directorial Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. His debut film was backed by his uncles, Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan. JTYJN became an instant hit and still remains a favourite among the youth. In his career spanning seven years, he worked in almost fourteen films, a few of them being commercial and critical hits like Delhi Belly, I Hate Luv Stories, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Imran was seen last in 2015’s Katti Batti along with Kangana Ranaut which failed at the box office. For the past three years, the actor had been MIA. Now news comes in that he has moved from on-screen to off-screen action. He recently turned director for an advertisement for Dharma Production’s newest venture Dharma 2.0 and has completed the shoot for his first commercial. We’re waiting to see what the newly actor-turned-director has in store for us.

In the past three years, after having an unsuccessful acting career behind him, he mentioned his keen interest towards direction multiple times. Now, it finally seems to be taking shape. A leading daily’s source reported that he is currently looking at scripts that he can direct. The actor comes from a filmmaking school and has always been asked about his plans on direction.

Previously it was said that he is working on a story of his own and was developing its screenplay with Kapoor and Sons writer Ayesha DeVitre, his schoolmate and a close friend of his wife, Avantika. In fact, he has even thought of turning producer. Though, he plans on donning only one cap at a time.
