Here's how Irrfan Khan reacted after watching Karwaan for the first time in London

Irrfan Khan has been away from the country for over four months as he is currently undergoing treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in London. The actor recently attended a special screening of his upcoming film, Karwaan, in the English capital. The screening was organised by the makers at the Henry Wood House, since Irrfan was eager to witness the final cut of the film.

It was attended by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and some close friends. The film's dialogue writer, Hussain Dalal, who was in London for another project, also attended it and spoke about the film with Irrfan. Talking about the actor's reaction, he revealed to a tabloid, "He had some minor suggestions for the team but overall, his family and he seemed pretty pleased".

Karwaan director, Akarsh Khurana also seemed elated that Irrfan saw the upcoming movie. He said, “He spoke to me at length after the screening in London and I was happy and relieved with his response and that of his family. Hussain, who was also present for the screening, told me about everyone’s reactions which were, thank God, rather favourable".

While Irrfan's fans are wondering whether he will be part of the film promotions, to which the director said that he does not want to burden him and his blessings are with the team. He sounded good when we spoke and we’re all hoping that he bounces back from this challenging phase soon,” the director added.

The film also stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar. The trailer introduced us to its three lead characters, Avinash (Dulquer), Shaukat (Irrfan) and Tanya (Mithila) and in fact, got us rolling with its subtle humour. It also reminds us just why Irrfan is so irresistible. His deadpan expressions and one-liners are guaranteed to crack you up.

Karwaan is slated to release on August 3.
