Seems like Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju has not created a storm at just the Box Office but also in some people's lives. In a recent controversy surrounding the film, gangster Abu Salem has sent a legal notice to the film's team alleging that it spreads 'wrong information' about him.
A news agency reported that the gangster has objected to how Sanju has portrayed him and showed his contribution in the 1993 serial Bombay blasts. The report says, "Gangster Abu Salem sends a legal notice to makers of 'Sanju' movie, seeks publication of contradiction to the wrong information about him in the movie and an apology. Notice also states that if makers of the movie fail to do so in 15 days, he will file a defamation case against them".
It also mentions the details of the notice where objections have been raised against a particular scene in the film. It reads, "The scene where Ranbir Kapoor (pictured as Sanjay Dutt) gives a confessional statement about possession of arms and ammunition during communal tension around our country in 1993, is defaming my client (Salem), as my client never supplied the arms and ammunition, as alleged to Sanjay Dutt, as pictured in the film".
While there's no revert from the film's side, the gangster has certainly taken a great offense calling the film "extremely insinuating, disparaging and defamatory" attacking 'his reputation'.
