Kajol's next, titled Helicopter Eela, has got a new release date. The film, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, was slated for release on September 14. However, the makers announced that it will now be hitting the screens sooner, on September 7.

After this development, Helicopter Eela has now avoided a Box Office clash with Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The Shree Narayan Singh's directorial is seeing the light of the day on September 14, after postponement of its release.

Announcing the news of the release date change, Kajol took to Instagram and posted:

It should be noted that while this Ajay Devgn-produced film has stayed away from facing BGMC, another film, Manmarziyan doesn't fear the same. The film that features Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles, has taken Helicopter Eela's previous spot at the ticket window. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, it's is slated for release on September 14.

In Helicopter Eela, Kajol plays the character of a single mother who is accused of invading the privacy of her son after she joins the same college her son studies at. It's based on writer Anand Gandhi's book, titled Beta, Kaagdo. Apart from Kajol, the film also features national-award winning actor Riddhi Sen and Tota Roy Chowdhary in pivotal roles.
