The latest Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is on a roll. After the success of Sonu KeTitu Ki Sweety, the young actor will be seen next in Dinesh Vijan’s Luka Chuppi in which he is paired opposite Kriti Sanon. The film is a rom-com and will be shot in Mathura, Agra and Kartik’s hometown Gwalior. The actor is supposed to be playing the role of a local TV channel reporter in Mathura in the film, while Kriti plays a Mathura girl who goes to Delhi for her higher studies and later returns to her hometown.

The actors are supposed to speak in the local dialect and although Kartik is from Gwalior and Kriti also played a small-town girl in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Bareilly Ki Barfi , the two have started prep to get the right lingo.

The two recently did a look test for the film, and those picture have found its way to the internet and has gone viral. The actors are seen dressed as a bride and groom in the picture. Previously, Kriti had also shared a post about starting prep for the film on her Instagram.

Luka Chuppi promises to be a fun-filled romantic comedy and is directed by Laxman Utekar. Producer Dinesh Vijan had previously said this about his lead actors, “While Kartik is the quintessential good boy every girl wants to take home to mamma, Kriti represents today’s youth who advocate gender equality and have their own ideology. The dialogues have a touch of the local dialect and being from the region, both are familiar with the setting and the lingo. They also have a crackling chemistry.”

On the work front, Kriti will be seen in Housefull 4 and Arjun Patiala while Kartik has signed the Hindi remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party. Reportedly, Jacqueline Fernandez will star opposite the actor in the film.
