Sania Mirza is the latest one to have joined the bandwagon of Indian sports-persons with biopics. After Mary Kom, Bhag Milkha Bhaag, Azhar, Ms Dhoni: The Untold Story, and very recently, Soorma, Bollywood has got another subject in Sania for its next biopic.
If a reports published in a leading daily are anything to go by, then producer Ronnie Screwvala has bagged the rights of a biopic on Sania Mirza and the work will start soon. The report quotes a source saying, "Many have been wanting to make a film on Sania’s life for a while now and Ronnie has finally bagged the rights for it. The story will be a balance of her professional and personal life with the latter getting more prominence. The makers will zero down on a director soon, after which they will begin the casting process".

The tennis player is one of the most respected and loved sports-persons in our country. Sania is the recipient of Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award and has won six Grand Slam titles. She won the 2003 Wimbledon Championships Girls’ Doubles title.
Sania started playing tennis from the age of six and since then, she has been making our country proud. She got married to Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik in 2010 and is currently pregnant with their first child.
A biopic on Sania was long pending and now with so many life stories already waiting to conquer the screens soon, it's time the audience gears up to see Mirza's story too.
