Rumours were rife about Akshay doing a Dharma film ever since he spoke about it during an interview with a famous film critic. While promoting his next release Gold, he discussed the upcoming projects and said, "I am doing a film called Good News, it is completely different. Good News is based on a real incident but it’s very, very funny what happens.”

Akshay and Kareena have worked in several films over the years like Ajnabee, Aitraaz, Tashan and the last in 2009's Kambhakt Ishq. Post that, Kareena had a cameo in Akshay's 2015 film Gabbar is back. Now, almost a decade later the duo will share the screen as a married couple who is trying to conceive. Diljit and Kiara are also said to be a couple in the film.

The makers of Good News cite it to be a 'Dramedy' so we're all geared up for lots of Drama and Comedy. Akshay, Kareena and Diljit have already impressed us with their comic timings in films like Hera Pheri, Golmaal Returns and Welcome to New York. We're waiting for Kiara, who impressed audiences and critics with her performance in Netflix's Lust Stories, to sweep us off the floor with her comedy.
