The action-romance is titled Tuesdays and Fridays and is being directed by Taranveer Singh. Anmol who is making his debut with the film has already left for London to shoot the 33-day schedule. A leading daily reported that the film has four young actors; Anmol’s character is called Varun, while Jhataleka plays Sia. Reem Sheikh features as Tanya and Ibrahim Chaudhary plays Shawan. According to reports, the four actors are filming a song choreographed by Kruti Mahesh (Deewani Mastani of Bajirao Mastani fame) which is their introductory track in the film. The next schedule of the film will kick off in September when the team will commence shooting in Mumbai. Anmol had been prepping for the film for a year now, which included training in martial arts and dance. Bhansali will not be turning director for Anmol and Jhataleka’s film but would be producing it under his banner.
As reported by the daily, Anmol’s role was initially offered to Shahid Kapoor but he turned down the film. Bhansali’s last film Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh attained critical acclaim and box office success. It became one of the most profitable films of the year and was loosely based on the epic poem by Malik Muhammad Jayasi.
