Kajol celebrates birthday at Eela trailer launch; talks about daughter Nysa, motherhood & more

Back after a hiatus of three years, Kajol is all set to play the titular character in Pradeep Sarkar directorial Helicopter Eela. The trailer of the much-anticipated film was launch today on the occasion of Kajol's 43rd birthday. She was accompanied by her husband and actor Ajay Devgn, who is also the co-producer of the film, for the trailer launch. Also spotted at the event was actor Riddhi Sen -- who plays Kajol's son in the film, actress Neha Dhupia and the director, Pradeep Sarkar.
At the launch, Kajol also celebrated her birthday with Ajay and the film's cast and said that on her birthday, she feels she's the queen of the world. Meanwhile, if you've seen the trailer, you must be aware of how Kajol's character is fond of the dabba. Interistingly, her birthday cake at the event today was also in shape of a dabba.
Looking stunning in a sunshine yellow draped sari with champagne coloured embellishments, she spoke at length about her daughter Nysa and was all praises for her husband. Talking about Ajay, she said, "The days that I was shooting, he made sure that he was taking care of our children."
Helicopter Eela will see Kajol playing a single mother and an aspiring singer. Her character (Eela) joins college to complete her degree and spend more time with her teenage son. When asked about how her daughter Nysa has to say about the film's trailer, she said, "My daughter cried and said I don't want to watch the movie."

The trailer of the film has met with fabulous response already. The two-and-a-half-minute clip focuses on how Kajol invades the privacy of her son, which inevitably creates a rift between the mother and son duo. Vivaan (Riddhi Sen) finally gets fed up of her mother's intrusiveness and wishes to break away from the "suffocation”. What follows, forms the crux of the story.
Helicopter Eela is slated to release on September 7.
