Akshay Kumar is well-known in Bollywood as a prankster. The Khiladi Kumar always manages to pull some ingenious pranks on his co-stars. Television actress Mouni Roy who is making her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay in Gold was at the receiving end of his famous pranks a little too often. Akshay had sent ‘love and kisses’ to the film’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani from Mouni’s unattended phone, and then once again went on to prank the actress posing as a BBC reporter.
Theam Gold recently released a video of this most recent prank of Akshay’s where the actor poses as a BBC reporter and calls Mouni for details about her esteemed Bollywood debut. The gullible and innocent actress takes the voice on the phone at its face value and starts talking about the film and how Akshay and Reema helped her prepare for the role when suddenly we see Akshay walk into the frame and stand behind Mouni as she is oblivious to him.

Later she realizes that the voice on the phone is standing right behind her and she discovers that she has been once again fooled. Next, we see Reema walking in with the entire crew while Mouni is so miffed that she threatens of not speaking to them ever again. Poor girl, she must have had a tough time shooting with Akshay and must have been extra cautious and alert on the sets, lest she becomes the object of another prank.
Akshay and Mouni’s Gold is a sports drama based on India’s first gold medal win as a free nation at the London Olympics of 1948. Akshay does not wield a hockey stick in the film but plays the role of Tapan Das who becomes instrumental in forming a team that eventually goes on to clinch the gold medal. Mouni plays his wife in the film.
