Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are all set to unite on the silver screen for the first time in Sui Dhaaga: Made In India. In the film, while Varun plays the character of Mauji, a tailor, Anushka plays the role of Mamta, who's an embroider. While the details of the film have been kept under wraps, the two lead actors today teased a new promo for their upcoming film. The promo is slated to release tomorrow, August 7. However, according to them, it will not be the usual release of posters, songs or trailer but it's going to be something very different.

In the video, Anushka says, "Iss baar kuch alag hi leke aarahe hain. Sui Dhaaga ki kasam. (We're bringing something different this time, swear on my Sui Dhaaga.)" Varun too promises that their upcoming surprise is one hundred percent 'Made in India'.
For the uninitiated, Sui Dhaaga is believed to be made as part of Indian government's Made In India campaign and celebrates Indian craftsmanship. One of the goals of the campaign is to promote the country's indigenous textile industries. Now with the promo out tomorrow on National Handloom Day, we wonder if it is something related to that. Well, we cannot wait for the unconventional promotional rounds of Varun and Anushka starrer.
Directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Yash Raj Films, Sui Dhaaga is slated for release on September 28.
Apart from this film, both Varun and Anushka have got more interesting projects in their kitty. Varun is currently shooting for Dharma Productions' Kalank, which also features Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur pivotal roles. On the other hand, Anushka has a biggie coming up in Zero in December this year, which features Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif with her.
