It’s not April fool’s day, but actor Rajkummar Rao pulled the perfect prank all on his fans and the media. The actor recently delivered Fanney Khan, as the boy next door and won hearts with his sheepish smile. Though the film received lukewarm reactions at the box office, as usual, Rajkummar did not disappoint. Soon after the release of Fanney Khan, he moved to promote Stree.
Filmmakers Raj and DK of Go Goa Gone fame are back with Stree, a horror-comedy, featuring Shraddha Kapoor in the titular role and Rajkummar. Along with the leading duo, it film has Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee. Stree is based on the "ridiculously" true phenomenon and an urban legend set in the 1990's in Karnataka. People of a village would write "Nale Ba" meaning "come tomorrow" outside their houses asking the ghost to return the next day.

Earlier last month, Rajkummar shared a series of pictures from the “sets” where we saw a lady dressed in a similar fashion as the Nun a.k.a Valac from The Conjuring series. Every succeeding image had the lady coming closer towards Rajkummar’s camera. Instantly, speculations were made that it was, in fact, Shraddha’s look from the film.
However, just today, we got a chance to catch up with Rajkummar and he spilled the truth behind the viral pictures that had us believing that Shraddha's look was inspired from The Conjuring. “It’s not Shraddha” he confirmed. “I won’t do that to my film. I was shooting somewhere else, not even in India. There was this junior artist who reminded me of Valac from The Conjuring,” he added.
People have lauded Rajkummar Rao for the meticulous acting and bringing alive his characters. Now, he will be lauded for pulling the perfect prank, too!
