Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu is coming out with its trailer tomorrow, August 10. The film also features Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor along with Shahid in the lead. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film urges the government to look for well planned ways to check the electricity shortage in areas and also to have a proper structure for billing issues. Shahid plays the character of Vimal Bisht, a power theft in a local town of Uttarakhand.
The actor shared the first poster of the film announcing the trailer release date. He posted:
It's a beautiful poster where you can see stunning hills of Uttarakhand through a bulb.

The actor had earlier revealed that Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a very special film to him and he agreed to do it because his wife, Mira Rajput, really loved the script. Yami plays the character of Piya, a social media influencer and a lawyer, who helps defend Shahid's character when he's caught in a legal mess due to his theft. Shraddha, on the other hand, plays Lalita Nauti aka Nauti.
After facing many hurdles in its release, it's now finally hitting the theatres on September 21.
