Twinkle Khanna has made a name for herself through her writings. Her weekly columns in a leading daily became hugely popular which propelled her to pen two books, which in turn became best-selling novels. Now Twinkle aka Mrs Funnybones is all geared up for the release of her third book titled Pyjamas Are Forgiving. The title is very interesting and we are sure that Twinkle will do justice to it in her trademark witty and sarcastic style. With the release of her third book under her belt, Twinkle has graced the cover of ELLE India for their August issue. In the interview that follows she talks about her dreams that centred on writing and how she still believes herself to be a reader rather than a writer.
In an Instagram post shared by ELLE India page, Twinkle says, “I loved reading as a child, and even today, with three books under my belt and five years of writing columns, I still think of myself as a reader more than a writer.” Even husband Akshay Kumar recently said in an interview how he would see Twinkle with a book in her hand during shots while working in films with her. He maintained that her mind was more focused on reading rather than on acting and writing is probably the best decision she has ever taken in life.

Twinkle believes that fiction and words have shaped the world around us and how we translate it. She says, “The movement has affected the way both men and women look at ingrained behavioural patterns, and it is evident that it will influence the things we write about.”

Twinkle acted in 14 films in her not-so-successful Bollywood career but soon gave it up for a career in interior designing. She later took up writing and found her forte in it reaping huge amounts of accolades and acclaim for her written word.
