Actress Sonali Bendre who won millions of hearts in the 90’s, still remains relevant, loved and admired. Currently, the actress is in stationed in New York City as she is undergoing treatment for high-grade cancer that was detected after being metastasized. Even though she is surrounded by friends and family, today she misses her son, Ranveer on his 13th birthday.

Sonali tried making up for not being around his son on his birthday with a sweet and long Instagram post. She refers to her son as, “My sun, my moon, my stars, my sky...” When she left him here for her treatment he was just another child, who has today turned into a teenager. “I will need some time to wrap my head around that fact. I can't tell you enough how proud I am of you. Your wit, your humour, your strength, your kindness, and even your mischief…” she added.

Before heading to New York for her treatment she shared another picture with Ranveer and shared how the little one has been her pillar of strength.  She wrote, “He took the news so maturely… and instantly became a source of strength and positivity for me. In some situations now, he even reverses roles and takes on being the parent, reminding me of things I need to do! I’m spending time with Ranveer right now, while he’s on summer vacation. His madness and shenanigans help me #SwitchOnTheSunshine. And today, we derive strength from each other #OneDayAtATime”

Recently, on the occasion of friendship’s day, Sonali’s best friends from the industry – Sussanne Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Gayatri Oberoi – flew to spend some quality time with her. The ladies, joined by Dia Mirza also conducted a session of Sonali’s Book Club together.
