Interestingly, the actor is all geared up to play a sportsman in his next film, Kabir Khan's '83. The preparations on the film, which will feature Ranveer playing former cricketer Kapil Dev, has begun and it's going on floors early next year. So amidst his ambassadorial duties, he took out time to watch a test match between India and England in the Lord's the other day to have a real experience on ground.

Talking about his experience at Lord's, Ranveer told the daily, "I feel blessed and lucky to be a part of this film because it is such a glorious chapter in our sporting history. It was long time coming and it’s finally being made and mounted on a huge scale. Yesterday, Kabir (Khan, director) and I spent the entire day at Lord’s interacting with the greatest batsman of all times, Sachin Tendulkar. We were talking about the film. It is one of the greatest sporting and underdog stories."

When asked if he's ever been offered a biopic on a football player since he is an ardent fan of the sport, he quipped, "I haven’t been offered a biopic on the life of a football player. If I had to play one, I would really have to work on my skills because I am sort of like a player in the mould of a bull head. It would be hard to cast me as a football player (laughs)."
Well, that's interesting!
