American singer Nick Jonas arrived in Mumbai on Thursday night and do you even think that the internet is interested in any other subject apart from this. If reports are anything to go by, Nick is all set to get engaged (officially, as the rings have already been exchanged) to his rumoured, might we assert, girlfriend Priyanka Chopra in a private ceremony on August 18 in the city.

No confirmation has been provided on Priyanka and Nick’s ceremony – well obviously because they haven’t even admitted to their relationship – but folks are overjoyed while gossip columns are busy discussing the guest list.

As far as invitees are concerned, it appears that Priyanka’s engagement party – if it is at all happening – might not be attended by A-list celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Shahid Kapoor – all for reasons of their own or for the lack of it.

It’s work that will keep Salman and Katrina busy as both are filming Bharat in Malta while Shah Rukh’s absence could be explained away with the same reason of course, as his December release Zero has put him in the midst of an arduous schedule. But point to be noted, guys. SRK did attend Manisha Koirala’s birthday party on August 16. So, well, let’s keep it at that.

As far as Shahid is concerned, his rumoured relationship with Priyanka – his co-star of films Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani, was the basic topic of discussion for gossip columns years ago. So, there’s history there as well.

Anushka Sharma, on the other hand, left for London, while promotional duties for her upcoming film Sui Dhaaga also might force her to skip the party. Ranbir Kapoor, also, won’t be able to make an appearance since he is shooting for Brahmastra in Bulgaria.

Well, that leaves us with the Bachchans, Aamir Khan, and Priyanka’s Bajirao Mastani co-stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – who may or may not attend – if plans of their own allow them to squeeze time out of their routine.
