Watch: Parineeti takes off from Jabariya Jodi shoot, attends Priyanka-Nick roka ceremony

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are all set to formally get engaged in a traditional ceremony today evening. The parents of the groom have already come down to India for the ceremony and Priyanka’s house is all decked up. And a particular development has put a seal on the speculated engagement. Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra has taken time off from her Jabariya Jodi shooting schedule in Lucknow for her big sister’s special day in Mumbai. She was captured by the paparazzi as she reached the venue.

For the unversed, Parineeti has been shooting in Lucknow since last week. But, as soon as Priyanka informed her about the engagement, she asked producers Balaji Motion Pictures for a day off so that she could attend the event. During Nick’s Goa visit too, Parineeti had visited the family for a day taking a day-off from her Namastey England shoot.

Reportedly, a private family dinner has been planned by PeeCee to celebrate the occasion. The roka will be a traditional Punjabi ceremony with a puja and Punjabi cuisine in the menu. Later on, a party is supposed to take place which will have continental and Indian dishes.

The intimate gathering will have guests like Priyanka's The Sky Is Pink teammates, Farhan Akhtar, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala in attendance. Her contemporaries, including Ranveer Singh, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Anurag Kashyap and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, are also supposed to grace the occasion.
