Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ engagement party is the big highlight of this weekend as the couple formalized their relationship on August 18 with a roka ceremony and hosted close friends at a party on Saturday evening. Although celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Mukesh, Nita and Isha Ambani and Arpita Khan Sharma were spotted at the do, filmmaker Karan Johar couldn't attend the party due to prior work commitments. But he did make up for it by sending a bouquet of flowers to the couple.

In footage that surfaced over the internet from the party, a person was seen carrying a beautiful flower bouquet at the venue as photographers, amid massive commotion, were heard saying that it was sent by Karan for Priyanka and Nick.

Priyanka and Karan have also worked together as she featured in 2008’s Dostana and 2012’s Agneepath – both were produced by the filmmaker. In 2012 though, Priyanka and Karan had a fallout after a particular episode but reconciled subsequently as the filmmaker decided to sort differences after realizing that he had overreacted in the situation.

Cut to her engagement, Priyanka and Nick’s roka was held at her residence on August 18 after the American singer arrived in Mumbai on Friday night with his parents Denise and Kevin Jonas. For the roka, Priyanka wore a yellow outfit by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla while Nick was handsome in white.

Priyanka, 36 and Nick, 25, met at the Met Gala in 2017 while reports suggest that both started dating a couple of months ago. Nick reportedly proposed to Priyanka on her birthday on July 18 in London.

As far as work is concerned, Priyanka is currently busy with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar.

Nick is best known for his songs including Jealous, Chains and Close.
