Karan Johar is calling everyone to get up and smell the coffee, as the seventh season of his popular chat show Koffee With Karan is scheduled to start from October 21, 2018, at 9 pm on Star World. He posted a teaser about the show on his social media account and shared pictures from the shoot as well, but the speculations are rife on who would be the first guests on the couch. Interestingly, the popular filmmaker is trying to pull all strings and wants to have a coup of sorts with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan appearing together. Apparently, there are plans of getting Katrina Kaif to join SRK and Salman as well on the show.
A leading daily reported, “Salman and SRK are buddies and individually too, they share a great rapport with Karan. SRK has his film Zero coming up, which stars Katrina. She is Salman’s heroine in Bharat, too. So, it makes sense that she joins the two superstars. Also, both SRK and Salman are witty and together they can pull Kat’s leg making it a fun episode. They are working on the concept and if all goes well, the trio will be seen together for the first time on Karan’s show.”
The daily also reported that the show will be inaugurated by his protégé Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter who made a scintillatingly cute pair in his film Dhadak. Previously, it was rumoured that they were thinking of roping in Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli to open the season but now it will most likely be Janhvi-Ishaan. As reported by the daily, Virat and Anushka are on the guest list but will feature in a later episode. Rumour mill is also abuzz that Priyanka Chopra and beau Nick Jonas can be the probable guests for the opening episode.
Karan’s Koffee With Karan has been very successful and he has managed to rope in A-listers on his show with some interesting pairings as well that they have been a hoot. Let’s see what magic he pulls out of his hat this time around.
