Irrfan Khan, who is currently undergoing treatment in UK after being diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour, appears to be doing well, reports a leading entertainment website. Most of the filmmakers, according to a news report, visit Irrfan every time their itinerary involves a trip to London and reportedly said that the actor is seemingly fine.

One of the filmmakers told the website that he met the 51-year-old actor recently and he was “cheerful” enough. Irrfan had a great time with him and also enjoyed a good meal, as per the report.

In March, Irrfan upset his fans after revealing on Twitter that he had contracted a “rare disease”, requesting everybody to refrain from speculating further while he promised to provide an update on his health.

Soon after, Irrfan, on Twitter, disclosed the “rare disease” and also asked his fans and followers to send across good wishes for him. “Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes,” Irrfan wrote in his tweet.

Earlier in August, Irrfan said that he will not be able to shoot for the series Gormint (formerly known as Ministry) due to his "ongoing situation". It was one of his most favourite ongoing projects, he said in a post on Facebook.

"After shooting for months, and having a ballistic time on set, I discovered my now ongoing physical condition. With a heavy heart I would like to say that due to this ongoing situation, I will not be able to fulfill my acting commitment to the show," Irrfan wrote.
