Fox Star Studios and director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari have taken an innovative marketing route to officially announce the title of their next film Panga. The film stars Kangana Ranaut, Neena Gupta and Jassie Gill in the lead roles. The filmmakers released a video today that shows Ashwiny, Kangana and Jassie along with their family, talking about the strength that the family provides them to attain their dreams and be fearless. The video asserts Panga is a story about a family who laughs, cries, dreams together and remains by your side to make your dream come true.
Kangana is seen with her parents, brother and sister Rangoli. Talking about the movie, Kangana said, “When Ashwiny narrated the film’s story, I was completely moved. My family has been my pillar of strength and have always stood by me through thick and thin. I could really relate to the emotions of the film. Plus, Ashwiny is known for her slice-of-life films and I loved her recent work in Bareilly Ki Barfi. Panga is even more special for me as, for the first time, I will be playing the role of a National-level Kabaddi player. That’s going to be challenging for sure! I am looking forward to some exciting times with Ashwiny and the Fox Star team”.
While depicting Jassie’s family we get to see his statement, “Woh Hain, toh main hoon,” an endearing and heartfelt emotion. Looks like this film will be a truly heartwarming, emotional and rollercoaster ride that will depict what family means in a person’s life and with the backing of their loved and near ones what amazing feat a person can achieve. We also get to see Neena’s family with daughter Masaba.

The film directed by Ashwiny is a sports film where Kangana will be seen essaying the role of a National lever Kabaddi player. The actress will start shoot for the film after she wraps up her film Mental Hai Kya opposite Rajkummar Rao. With Panga, Ashwiny who achieved fame with Bareilly Ki Barfi is following her husband Nitesh Tiwari’s footsteps as she will be helming a sports film for the first time. Nitesh has already made his mark with the super successful Dangal that starred Aamir Khan as the Haryanvi wrester Mahavir Singh Phogat. Jassie will be playing her husband in the film.
