Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday – a new set of star kids are all set to take over the Hindi film industry with their films and have already garnered a whole lot of fans. The common factor between them, though, is Karan Johar. The filmmaker handled the debut of Janhvi – Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter – with Dhadak while Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya’s first film is Student of the Year 2 – both films are produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions.
Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, which has also been bankrolled by Karan, stars Sara – Saif Ali Khan’s daughter - opposite Ranveer Singh. Simmba could be Sara’s debut if reports are to be believed as the release date of Kedarnath, scheduled to be her first film, has been pushed to next year while Rohit’s film is expected to hit screens in December.

But that’s not the point, guys. Karan, on his radio show Calling Karan, witnessed a tricky situation after he was asked to name the most promising talent out of Sara, Janhvi and Ananya by Diana Penty and appears that the filmmaker had a tough time responding to the actress.
His answer, very Karan-like, was diplomatic but true as the filmmaker said that all three are talented enough and will definitely make a great career in films.
“Oh god! now that’s a tough question. How am I to answer that? They are three young new talents and I definitely think all three have bright careers. I don’t think that, that’s a fair question to ask me, Diana,” Karan said on his show.
That was difficult, Karan. Phew!
Aside: Janhvi also stars in Karan’s upcoming directorial venture Takht – featuring an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor. The movie is scheduled to release in 2020 and will begin filming in September.
