The Zoya Factor: How Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan are preparing for their roles

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is back in the bay after her break in the US with husband Anand Ahuja and is all ready to start her prep for her upcoming film The Zoya Factor. The film also stars South sensation Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Dulquer and Sonam have already begun their reading sessions and as reported by a leading daily the leading man will soon hit the cricket pitch as well. Salmaan plays Indian cricket team skipper Nikhil Khoda in the film which is the big screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel by the same name.

A leading daily reported, “Dulquer is a better bowler than a batsman in real-life, but he will be required to ace both acts for his role. Although the film rolls on August 28, the first schedule entails filming scenes featuring the leads. The cricket sequences will be shot in the months to come. So that will give Dulquer ample time to hone his cricketing skills."

The daily reported that the actor will be trained by local coaches. Apparently, Dulquer will not be meeting any current or former skippers but he may meet them at a later stage. The team is currently looking out for the best person to train Dulquer in the game. Sonam, on the other hand, has been meeting sports journalists who have been covering cricket. The daily reported, “She met bloggers in the US who write about the sport. Though she plays an advertising professional, she wanted to understand the dynamics of the game. Her next step will be to meet advertising professionals." The film also stars Angad Bedi.

On the work front, Dulquer made his Bollywood debut opposite Mithila Palkar and Irrfan in Karwaan which received a lukewarm response at the box office. Sonam, on the other hand, will also be seen pairing up with her Dolly Ki Doli co-star Rajkummar Rao in Shelly Chopra Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The film also stars her father Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in the pivotal role.
